Orange Glazed Pork Chops

 

Makes six chops.

 

Ingredients

 

6 Center Cut Pork Chops

1/2 Cup Water

3/4 Cup Sugar

1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

1 Tablespoon Salt

1/8 Teaspoon Cinnamon

10 Whole Cloves

3 Tablespoons Grated Orange Rind

22 Orange Slices

4 Cups Orange Juice

Salt, Pepper, & Paprika

 

Directions

 

1. Trim fat from chops and put in skillet over low heat. Let fry slowly until a

    thin coating of fat is in skillet. Sprinkle both sides generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.

    Remove fat, brown chops well on both sides on medium heat.

    Spoon off fat, put on low heat, and add water and cover. Cook 45 minutes.

 

2. Cook together sugar, cornstarch, salt, cinnamon, cloves, grated orange rind, and

    orange juice until thick. Spoon glaze over chops, cook 20 minutes.

    Garnish with orange slices and serve.
